Paisley days in a haze.........

The week has made a disappearing act again......

I wish it was a feeling of magic and not madness that keeps this happening.

Do you get to the end of a week and feel like it is a haze of events????

This is the paisley 70's dress I wore a few days ago. 

The gorgeous birdie brooch was a gift from the lovely Eve a few months ago, the colours are perfect with the dress.

Sorry sweet-peas I don't have many words tonight, this wee paisley bunny is to sleepy.

Beautiful vintage from Wildfell Hall Vintage...........

This stunning 1950's dress came all the way from the beautiful Amy in New York at Wildfell Hall Vintage. It is such a dream, look at the beautiful silk velvet bow and the fit is just perfect. I feel so Doir "New Look" in her. I also brought from Amy's fabulous Etsy shop the most gorgeous pinafore that I can't wait to show you.

 Amy has interviewed us for a post on her blog about the shops and how the earthquakes have effected us. It was great to talk about the events that have brought us to this day. Thank you to Amy, she is such a wonderful lady and so kind to feature the squirrels on her blog.

Sunday hunting......

The "squirrels" needed fire starters for these chilly winter nights.

All rugged up they went to a forrest near home and found lots of pine tree seeds to keep them warm.

Happiness is a lovely warm fire........

My Daddy is improving and tomorrow will start therapy.

These are the photos we took on Thursday before we got the phone call about Dad.

They are taken in "Sumner" were a shipping container has been shown love with a big snuggly patchwork knit rug. Each patch was made from different groups for all the people in Christchurch after the earthquakes.

Kind of shows that love comes from many places but when its knitted together it can wrap around you and make things so much better.

Waiting and the worry.........

Hello lovely sweet peas!!!!

This has been a yucky week for us, we have spent most of it in Christchurch hospital waiting to find out if some very special family members were going to be ok.

My gorgeous wee niece was in on Monday after becoming very sick, she has diabetes so it is always scary. Thank goodness she is ok.

Then on Thursday the call you hate to get, it was my mum saying my Dad was being rushed to hospital  after having a stroke. Could this be more horrible. 

He has lost some speech and has some paralyses on the right side of his body.

We hope he will have a good recovery after lots of rest and relaxing.

While waiting for visiting times we have had time to walk around Hagley Park.

Its been so so ice cold.

But thankful to be experiencing it.
