Sad sad Monday shoes!!!

Oh sweetpeas I am so sorry to be only posting now, it has been the most terrible of times!!!
These are the shoes I was wearing on Tuesday when the earthquake hit!
They had to carry me through horrible and dangerous grounds as our beautiful city was shaken to the core.
They have become a reminder of how lucky we have been.
The fate of the shops is an unknown and as much as it breaks my heart to think of all the treasure broken, we are so blessed to not be broken ourselves.
Heavy hearts and lots of tears for all!!!
Warren and I have to rethink our lives and we will be facing many interesting and trying days ahead. V

Hi guys! Today has been Horrific! But we have both survived the insane earthquake again!! Unfortunatly many didn't, and our thoughts go out to those in mourning and those facing the unknown. Keep safe Christchurch! Live to fight another day!!

What a way to start the week!!!
New vintage shoes that are still in there box and never worn, oh they even smell new but old, lovely!!
This meant that the outfit for today was all about the shoes, polka dots always a good start!! V

Rainy days are never blue with this cute outfit.
Cotton spot homemade dress, fabulous blue raincoat, fitted waist and full skirted. Finished with a fresh green spot scarf and blue sparkle brooch.
Happy happy gear for splashing in puddles!

A tick on the "vintage list"

I was so excited to recently purchase from a gorgeous lady the most fabulous 1950's faux fur leopard print cape! Oh so cutie kitten!!
All dressed up and off to the burlesque show as part of the buskers festival. The perfect outing for this new treasure!! So in love with her.

This is "Morgan" or mugs as she is called, it is her 17th birthday on the 28th of February. She is our fur squirrel at home! V

Boxing day earthquake UPDATE.

Our store in the Cashel Mall - Two Squirrels Vintage clothing & Curios was badly damaged in the boxing day earthquake, and has been out of action ever since.

We are hoping to be back up and running in the same location, but the buildings repairs may take a couple of months.

So as an alternative we have decided to convert our workroom (which is just across the hall from the main shop) into a temporary store.

We will keep you posted on an opening date for this temp- 'mini' Squirrels.
